Magic: the Gathering s newest set is nearly here! Play prerelease with us and get your hands on the new set before anyone else!Â
Prerelease is happening February 7-9th. Will be hosting 4 events.
– Feb 7, 6:30pm (single player)
– Feb 8, 11:00am (single player)
– Feb 8, 4:00pm (2 player team event aka two-headed giant)
– Feb 9, 11:00am (single player)
This event is perfect for new players with some experience, players who have been playing for many years and anyone in between! Prerelease is a sealed event where players will get a number of packs and build a 40 card deck. Basic lands will be provided.Â
Entry: $40
Rounds: Swiss rounds based on attendance up to a maximum of 4 rounds.
Prizes: 2 play booster packs will go to into the prize pool for each player that attends and at the end of the event each player will receive a pack per round they win. Any extra packs not given out for the event (due to draws, players leaving early, or less than 4 rounds) will be randomly awarded as door prizes.
Format:Â Three single player sealed events and one two-Headed Giant Sealed
Single player sealed format: Players receive a prerelease pack containing 6Â Play Booster packs and a promo rare or mythic card to build a 40 card minimum deck.
Two-Headed Giant format: Teams of two players each receive two prerelease packs containing 6 play booster packs each (12 total Packs) and share their card pool to create one 40 card minimum deck per team member.
Play Booster packs contain:
• 14 Magic: The Gathering cards
• 1-4 cards of rarity Rare of higher
• 3-5 Uncommon cards
• 6-9 Common cards
• 1 Land card (Traditional Foil Land replaces a Land in 20% of boosters)
• 1 card of any rarity is Traditional Foil; Foil Borderless Mythic Planeswalker in <1% of boosters; List card included in 20% of Play Boosters
